Frequently Asked Questions
Short answers to what most people ask before booking a live stream or recording with us.
Quotes and booking
How do I request a quote?
Every job gets its own quote, because the cost of a live stream or recording always depends on the event: how many cameras you need, how long the programme runs, where the stream goes, and whether you need post-production.
The easiest way is the form at the bottom of this page. Tell us the date, the venue and roughly what you have in mind, or send us an email instead. We’ll get back to you, and if anything is still unclear, we’ll have a quick chat before sending the quote.
How far in advance should we book?
The earlier the better. For a larger multi-camera event, a few weeks gives us time to look at the venue and put the technical plan together.
If your date is close, get in touch anyway and we’ll see whether we can make it work.
Do you work outside Budapest?
Yes. Our studio is in Budaörs, right on the edge of Budapest, but for on-site streams we travel anywhere in Hungary with our own equipment.
We work in English as well, so we also take on English-language conferences and events.
Technical
What internet connection does a live stream need?
A stable, preferably wired connection with an upload speed well above the stream’s bitrate. A Full HD stream usually goes out at 6–10 Mbps, so it’s worth having at least one and a half to two times that available, so a momentary dip doesn’t interrupt the broadcast.
A venue’s guest Wi-Fi is rarely up to the job, because the audience shares it too. We check the connection before the event, and if it’s weak, we work out a solution together with the venue.
How many cameras does a conference need?
For a simple talk, one well-placed camera is often enough. At most conferences we work with two or three: a close-up of the speaker, a wide shot of the stage and, if there’s a Q&A, a third on the audience.
If the programme runs in several rooms, or multiple locations need to be linked, you’ll need a bigger setup. We’ll recommend the exact setup once we know the venue and the programme.
Which platforms can you stream to?
YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Vimeo, and we can also feed the broadcast into a Zoom or Teams event, or to any custom RTMP address. The stream can go to several platforms at once, for example YouTube and Facebook in parallel.
Can the stream be private or password-protected?
Yes. The stream can be public, unlisted so only people with the link can watch, or password-protected, for example as an unlisted YouTube video or on a password-protected Vimeo page. If viewers need to register, or you’d like the stream embedded on your own website, we’ll plan that with you in advance.
Studio and recording
Do we get the recording afterwards?
Yes, we record the stream and hand over the full recording. If you also need an edited version, such as a short highlight for social media or a cut-down edit of the full broadcast, we produce it in post-production. The delivery time depends on the amount of work, and we set it out in the quote.
Can we book the studio for a podcast or webinar?
Yes, our studio in Budaörs is set up for exactly that: podcasts, interviews, webinars and online presentations. We handle the technical side from setup to the end of the broadcast, so you can focus on your content. We can also bring remote guests into a live show.
